So I totally slacked off again on blogging but I'm back now with more photos. These were taken on a hayride we took at a place called Milky Way Farm near Nana's house. The hayride was what took us to the pumpkin patch that you saw in previous blog entries. We were surprised we got Noemie to actually sit down on the hay as she's usually pretty particular. Perhaps it was the excitement of a hayride! I'm finding it virtually impossible these days to get both kids to look at the camera at the same time, smile, not pull funny faces and hold a pose long enough for me to take a photo. Charlie is a bit better in that he still likes to pose for the camera. Noemie is so over it and she makes all sorts of faces. The farm also had a petting area where the kids got to pet a calf (about 2 weeks old I think they said), sheep and then this little goat. Charlie doesn't have much fear with anything so he sticks his hand right in and pets/touches them. He's the same way with our cat, dogs at a dog show we went to in the park a few weeks ago and usually will also run up to any dog when he is out and about. Let's hope he never gets bitten or something to scare him off of animals.
It's been busy around here in general. More organizing this past weekend, the playroom to be specific. I got rid of about 4 bags of toys, threw out 2 black trash bags full and also 2 recycling bags full of stuff. I figure with Christmas coming up, it was time to make space for whatever Santa may bring. I've been knitting and crocheting every spare moment I get as I'm trying to finish up some projects and get cracking on my Christmas knits.
Tomorrow I am going up to Ikea with Noemie and a friend of mine to get some storage stuff for Charlie's closet and then to look around and have meatballs of course! Wednesday my parents are coming over and I'm thinking about seeing if Charlie can do his practice session at the nursery that afternoon as Noemie goes that day as well. Thursday I am taking delivery of my new desk from Laura Ashley and we also have a playdate either here or at one of the other kid's houses. Friday I am visiting a school for Noemie and then headed up to Loop Yarns in North London to meet up with some friends and have lunch. I didn't do much this past week other than sit around and knit and then declutter so this week is going to be more about going out and having fun!
I better go to bed early tonight. I made the mistake of telling Noemie she could go with us tomorrow so she went to bed bouncing off the walls and then usually she wakes up at 6:30am when she is excited about something. I think she'll like Ikea as they have some fun kids stuff and the marketplace has some good inexpensive items for her.
Hi! I'm finally getting a chance to catch up with your visit to Joanie's. Loved all the pictures, know you had a great time. Hoping we can see you on your next visit to the USA. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, hard to imagine Christmas is just around the corner. Plenty cold here in Omaha, but no snow on the ground today. Give the kids a hug from us. Love to all.
