Noemie finally came down with the chicken pox though the timing was not great. My parents had already arrived so we could all go out for Father's Day lunch. Kirk had gone upstairs with N to get her dressed and she was wearing a little princess dress and I saw a spot on her neck. Then a few more... so we stayed in for lunch. Noemie had far more spots than Charlie did and hers were massive. But she's healing much faster than he has with many of her spots nearly gone. He's still quite scabby considering the 2 week lead he had on her. Noemie did okay. The first night she was pretty miserable and very very itchy so it was a long night. She was fine after that though with plenty of anti histamines and calamine cream. Oh, and oatmeal baths.
I had told Noemie she could do connect the dots with her chicken pox spots (this was before she even had them, I was trying to make it sound all exciting as she was upset at the thought of catching it from Charlie). So her and Kirk did it and then Charlie saw it and had to do it and then of course I had to take a photo.
Both kids will be back at nursery this week. Yay! While I had fun with both of them during their respective week off from school I am looking forward to having them both at school again. It's the school play next weekend and Noemie has missed a whole week of practice time so she has to catch up this week. Glad they both got the pox out of the way before starting big school though!
