N turned 5 this past week yet I swear it feels like I was just uploading the photo of her turning 4 a few months ago. No party yet as it's the first weekend when the kids go back after Easter break. Nana flew in on her birthday though so there was great excitement all around.
N has been on break for the past nearly 3 weeks. She spent the first few days in bed with a high temperature which made her do nothing but sleep. Then when she was just about over it, C came down with it for a few days and had a bad cough to go with it. Before he was even over it, I came down with it. And had it really bad. Near 40 degree temps for 3 days, medicine didn't really do much for me and I slept so much it was unreal. I can't remember the last time I was so sick and I hope it's not again for a very long time.
I think we're all just about better now though C and I have a residual cough. N had 4 days of swimming lessons this past week and managed to swim 20m on her own in back stroke. She's getting so much better at it so I'm glad we stuck with the lessons.
Other than that we've done a lot of lazing about. I've cast on a few more projects, 4 socks at the same time to be precise. I had a lot of gorgeous yarns arrive with Nana and I can't seem to stop casting on everything.
N goes back to school this week as does C. Have a few final touches to do for N's birthday party and then a cake to bake and perhaps some cookies. Got most of the other stuff done weeks ago so I wouldn't have to stress about it all at the last minute. It should be fun with about 28 kids I think. Glad we rent halls and stuff here as there is no way I'd have that many kids in my house!
